The Academic System

Not a curriculum. A complete operating system.

Every period, every day, every week — pre-planned. The Walnut Learning System is what makes consistency possible at scale.

What Is The Walnut Learning System?

A complete, system-driven approach

Not just software, but the entire operating methodology — for running a school that stays consistent at scale.

Planned Academics

Every period, every day, every week is pre-planned. No ad-hoc decisions. CW, HW, revisions, short tests and exams are all planned ahead.

Presentations & Digital Content

For every classroom teaching period. Visual, engaging, aligned to the plan. Pace controlled by the teacher. Allows focus on teaching and engaging students.

Worksheets Replace Notebooks

Printed worksheets for every student. No time wasted in dictation or copying from boards. Students learn, discuss and start answering — super-intensive and efficient.

Continuity Maintained

Content, presentations and question banks come from R&D. Even if a teacher changes, the way teaching, CW, HW or parent communication happens stays consistent.

Low-Stress Assessments

Lakhs of descriptive and MCQ questions for exams, practice tests and answer keys. MCQ checking done without exhausting the teacher. All data in one place.

Bagless School, Subject-Wise Rooms

These features can be added whenever school management feels comfortable. Huge differentiators — only possible with the Walnut system.

Academic Structure

The 4-Unit Academic Structure

The academic year is divided into 4 independent units. Each unit is examined separately.

01
Unit 1
Examined independently
02
Unit 2
Examined independently
03
Unit 3
Examined independently
04
Unit 4
Examined independently

No cumulative term exams (except Grade 9: Unit 1+2 = Term 1, Unit 3+4 = Term 2 as per CBSE format).

Unit report cards shared online. Final annual printed report summarises all four units.

This ensures clarity, manageable assessment cycles and focused learning.

Unit Rhythm

The 8-Week Unit Structure

Week 1–5
Core Teaching
Week 6
Buffer
Week 7
Exam Revision
Week 8
Unit Test

Before a unit begins:

Teaching periods are planned in advance

The pacing for each chapter is pre-decided

Classwork and homework flow are structured

Once a unit plan is finalized, it must be followed. This prevents last-minute syllabus rush and ensures academic discipline.

Materials

Worksheet & Material Ecosystem

Each unit's worksheets are supplied in structured bundles, stored in a pre-decided inventory system.

Bundle Structure

  • Supplied in structured bundles (quarterly)
  • Stored in a pre-decided inventory system
  • Teachers sign off after collecting worksheets
